Trainee Mortgage Adviser

What I do: I work with new mortgage clients, gathering all initial information and ensuring everything is on file to provide suitable advice. I complete research, write suitability reports, and complete applications and submissions.  In addition to this, I support our Financial Adviser team with fund research and process client withdrawals.

Brief background: I grew up in Lockerbie then moved to Dumfries just before starting secondary school at Dumfries Academy. Prior to Border Finance, I gained experience in construction and marketing.

Favourite part of my job: I enjoy the variety of the work I do and being able to provide support and assistance to clients in a professional manner. I also enjoy the company of my colleagues whom I’ve built good relationships with.

Outside work: I like to keep in good shape by going to the gym 2-3 times a week and eating healthily. I stay productive at home, regularly learning new skills and refining them. I also enjoy going for nice dinners and visiting my grandparents often.
